On the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh committed to safeguard the border state from Pakistan’s sinister plans, while also promising to continue battling with farmers for the repeal of the Centre’s black farm rules.
“We want Punjab, but we will not allow any assault or attack on our land,” the Chief Minister stated, calling for heightened vigilance against Pakistan, which has continued to try to stir up problems even 75 years after independence.
“We will teach them (Pakistan) the lesson of their lifetime if they attempt to be adventurous,” the Chief Minister said after unfurling the national flag in front of the people of Punjab.
The Chief Minister cautioned that Pakistan will not miss a chance to exploit any vulnerability in Punjab, citing the use of drones by the neighbouring nation to bring guns and narcotics into the state.
