Micro-tactical UAV in India; Paras Aerospace, SpearUAV signs MoU

To bring encapsulated Ninox 40 system to the Indian market an MoU has been signed between SpearUAV, developers and suppliers of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) solutions for defence and Homeland Security applications from Israel and Paras Aerospace.

A statement from Paras Aerospace said on Thursday that, the Ninox 40 is a micro-tactical, cost-effective drone system designed specifically for single-user operation that features an encapsulated drone and control unit.

The Ninox 40 weights below 250g which is within regulatory limitations and since it is lightweight enough, it can be included into the soldier’s vest and carried on-person during combat, it said.

The Ninox 40 can take a flight lasting up to 40 minutes with ‘ISTAR’ capabilities, day and night camera, automatic tracking. It can be launched on the move, from under cover and even in harsh environmental conditions, the statement said.

CEO of SpearUAV Yishai Amir said, “The cooperation between our companies will address the many needs of these forces, in order to give every person, officer and first responder an immediate ISTAR capability to complete their mission and save lives”.
