IAF jet carrying to land in Delhi with 24 Indian & 11 Nepalese refugees

Under Operation Devi Shakti, an Indian Air Force (IAF) flight carrying 24 Indian and 11 Nepalese evacuees from Kabul is its route to Delhi. The special IAF flight is scheduled to arrive in Delhi within the next few hours.

“Operation Devi Shakti” is the name of the evacuation operation from Afghanistan that took place in the aftermath of the Taliban’s takeover of the nation last week.

MEA has previously advised all Indian nationals in Afghanistan who needed assistance to call the Special Afghanistan Cell as soon as possible in order to leave the war-torn country.

Approximately 626 individuals have been evacuated from Kabul so far, including Indian citizens as well as Afghan nationals, including Sikhs and Hindus.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Tuesday that a total of 626 individuals had been evacuated from Afghanistan, including 228 Indian residents.
