The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which is on track to become India’s longest, will be completed on time.
Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has stated that all work linked to the project is being hastened to avoid any delays.
In response to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Nitin Gadkari claimed that the Covid-19 epidemic had impacted the construction timeline of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which is expected to be completed by January 2023, according to the Centre’s own plan.
According to Nitin Gadkari, 350 kilometres of the 1,350-kilometer Delhi-Mumbai Expressway have already been built, with another 825 kilometres under development.
The minister also stated that bids for the remaining 163 kilometres of expressway are being finalised and will most likely be granted this fiscal year.
