Anjaw is a newly formed district in Arunachal Pradesh, having been separated from the Lohit district in 2004. River Lohit, a tributary of the Brahmaputra, runs through this city, which is located 1296 meters above sea level and is India’s easternmost district, approximately 20 kilometers from the India-China border.
