Namdapha National Park is the perfect hunt for wildlife enthusiasts

Namdapha National Park is the best travel spot for nature enthusiasts, with different species of flora and fauna which are yet to discover. Majestic Gaur, generally known as Mithun, Elephant, Bison, Sambar, Himalayan black Bear, Takin, wild Goat typically of Patkoi range, Musk Deer, slow Loris, Binturong, and the Red Panda are some of the animals found in this region. A variety of butterflies improve the beauty of the forest. Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Clouded Leopard are the four felines found only in Namdapha, at higher altitudes. Assamese macaque, pig-tailed macaque, hoolock gibbon, hornbills, and jungle fowl are other species found during the park. Adventurers here need to be aware of snakes who also inhabit the forest. Variegated plants are also found here. 150 timber species and some scarce medicinal plants like Mishmi Teeta are some of them. Flora in Namdapha National Park changes with the altitude. Broad-leaved trees to alpine forests along with a variety of bamboo are some of the types of vegetation.

 Earlier 425 species of aves were found fluttering at higher altitudes. Some tribal groups dwell inside the Park, mostly on the eastern side where Indian territory shares its border with Myanmar. Chakma, Tangsa, and Singpho tribes are found in the surrounding area of the Park.
