Assam: Minister Parimal Suklabaidya evaluates current development projects

On Tuesday, State Forest and Environment, Excise and Fisheries Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, who had travelled to Bongaigaon for a cabinet meeting, chaired a meeting with district administration officials and district heads of departments concerned to review various focus areas.

The minister was joined by Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioners Khanindra Das and Ajit Kumar Sarmah, Subdivisional Officer (Sadar) Wahidul Islam, and district heads of education, social welfare, public health engineering, and health and family welfare departments in a meeting held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kajalgaon.

Minister Suklabaidya reviewed the Social Welfare Department’s Poshan Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Mantru Vandana Yojana, and Deen Dayal Divyangjan Pension Scheme, emphasising their proper and timely implementation.

From the health department, he inquired about the status of the COVID vaccination drive and the current position of doctors in the district. He also checked the education department’s implementation of the mid-day meal, free textbook distribution, school uniforms, and civil work activities.

He then reviewed the progress of the district’s Jeevan Mission, which is being carried out by the public health engineering department, and urged departmental officers to work with sincerity and dedication to speed up the work.
