Assam Migrant Worker found dead at Chennai airport

A migrant worker from Assam was found dead near the departure terminal of the Chennai airport while attempting to board a flight to Guwahati.

According to reports, airport police officers rushed to the scene on Saturday and shifted the body to a government hospital for an autopsy.

Dipak Paul, a construction worker from Assam, has been identified as the 35-year-old victim.
He had spent the previous two years in Chennai.

Paul had seizures and passed out in the check-in area when he arrived at the airport. The airport doctors gave him first aid and he was taken to a government hospital for treatment. Today morning, the airport came to the airport to board another flight to Guwahati.

However, the migrant worker was discovered unconscious near the departure terminal’s toilet. He was taken to the government hospital in Chromepet, where doctors declared him dead.

Reportedly, on Friday, he was at the airport to catch a flight to Guwahati. However, at the checking-in point, he fainted following which he was given first aid by the doctors and later was sent to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital for further treatment.
