Adil Hussain, an internationally acclaimed actor from Assam, has added another feather to his cap. The 57-year-old actor won the best actor award (male) at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival for his outstanding performance in the film Raahgir.
Goutam Ghose’s film, starring Adil Hussain and Tillotama Shome, has won a total of four awards. The film won awards for best feature film, best director for Ghose, best female actor for Shome, and best male actor for Hussain, according to the film’s producers.
In a tweet, Hussain said, “I am absolutely delighted to receive the Best Actor Male award for our film Raahgir.”
