Arunachal: Tawang MLA Lays Foundation Stone of Archery Ground at Kharsaneng


Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi on Sunday laid the foundation stone of Archery ground at Kharsaneng.

MLA Tsering Tashi further inaugurated the newly constructed Inspection Bungalow (IB) at Kharsaneng (Bathung) under Kyidphel circle in Tawang district. 

While expressing his happiness over the inauguration of the Inspection Bungalow executed by Tawang PWD, urged the government officials and public to ensure that the newly built infrastructure is properly taken care of.

MLA Tsering Tashi further informed that because of the difficulties faced by tourists at Tawang owing to altitude issues, a proposal for a guest house at a low lying region within the district is in consideration, given its Tourism Potential. Also depending on the land availability for its construction.

The erstwhile Tawang District was a Sub-Division of West Kameng District till 5th October 1984. This district is situated in western most part of Arunachal Pradesh. The area of this district is approximately 2,172, bounded by Tibet (China) to the north, Bhutan to the south-west and Sela ranges separated from West Kameng district in the east.

It is to be mentioned that the Kharsaneng area has various places with historical and religious importance attached to it, apart from its mesmerizing scenic beauty and is the only region in the district where paddy cultivation has been taken up since time immemorial.
