Arunachal: Minister Tedir Urges Teacher to Focus on Moral Education

Arunachal Pradesh’s Education Minister Taba Tedir on Sunday urged teachers to impart Moral education to youths to make them responsible citizens.

Addressing the teachers at the 8th general conference of Arunachal Pradesh College Teachers’ Association (APCTA) held at Government College Bomdila Minister Tedir said, “Through moral education, we can keep our youths away from falling into anti-social activities.” 

Tedir also mentioned that the education scenario of the state is changing with the increasing numbers of higher educational institutes in the state.

Thrizino-Buragaon MLA Kumsi Sidisow, Kalaktang MLA Dorjee Wangdi Kharma, Bomdila-Nafra MLA Dongru Siongju, Pura G Tago, president of APCTA and Sanja Khandu principal, GCB also spoke.

Altogether, 72 delegates from entire colleges of the state participated in the general conference held on the theme ‘commitment to nation-building: shaping dreams of young India’.

The APCTA also submitted a seven-point memorandum to the education minister.

It is to be mentioned that in a recent visit to Tawang, Education Minister Taba Tedir said that his department is working on a mission mode to achieve the five-point agenda of basic infrastructure, teachers’ training, development of IT cell of the department, app-based transfer and posting of teachers, and accommodation for teachers.
