Chairman of Mahindra group, Anand Mahindra lauded Arunachal CM Pema Khandu on his historic journey to Vijaynagar through the muddy roads in his Mahindra Thar.
Khandu’s effort to cover the 157 km journey through foot-and-vehicle using his thar has impressed the Mahindra chairman and included him in the “hall of fame”. The two days arduous journey where he crossed the slippery muds using wooden logs under the tyres, waded through the night in the jungle and walked on foot to reach its destination is creating applause everywhere.
Mahindra in the tweet, nominated Khandu by saying that we all need to create a hall of fame of those owners who know how to ‘explore the impossible’ with their Thar. He also names those people as “Thar pehelwans”, thus “Tharwans”. He uploaded a video along with the tweet where video footage of Khandu’s journey can be seen.
I think we need to create a Hall of Fame of those owners who know how to ‘Explore the Impossible’ with their Thars. Thar Pehelwans. Tharwans? Give me a better name. And I nominate Mr. Khandu straightaway for inclusion in the Hall of Fame! pic.twitter.com/CF1POWxPf7
