Nagaland: Dimapur Dist achieves 100% 1st dose Covid vaccination

Nagaland’s Dimapur district achieved a huge milestone by achieving 100% first dose Covid-19 vaccination in both urban and rural areas. This was informed by Dimapur District Planning and Development Board chairman, Zhaleo Rio at a meeting on Tuesday.

CM Rio expressed appreciation to the members of the Dimapur District Task Force (DTF) for achieving 100% first dose vaccination in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chairing the meeting, he conveyed that the High Power Committee on Covid-19 during its meeting in Kohima had commented on the achievements made by Dimapur DTF, frontline workers, officers and all line departments for the successful vaccination drive in the district.

He requested the DTF and the officers to motivate and educate the public on the benefits of vaccination to ensure that the public get both doses of vaccination.

Earlier, Phuye old village under Zunheboto district,  Yali village under Tuensang district, and Moalenden and Longsendang villages under Mokokchung district were the first three villages in Nagaland achieved 100% vaccination.

Several villages, including Sapotomi village and Lhuvishe old village under Zunheboto, Nutsu village under Kiphire, and Aoyimkum village under Chumukedima block in Dimapur district, also achieved 100% vaccination.
