Arunachal: Janata Dal (U) Suspends 3 MLAs

The Arunachal Pradesh Unit of Janata Dal (U) suspended three of its MLAs from the party for their  involvement in anti-party activities. The announcement was made by the State party president, Ruhi Tagung. The Suspended MLAs are identified as Dorjee Wangdi Kharma, Kanggong Taku and Dongru Siongu.

Speaking to the media during a press conference, Tagung said that after the 2019 assembly elections seven members of the party had been elected as MLAs and that the elected MLA were in favour of choosing Techi Kaso as the party leader without any prior information brought to the notice of the JD (U) President. Therefore, the party had decided to suspend three of their MLAs for their anti-party activities along with a 14 days notice to clarify. 

Ruhi Tagung, further spoke about the party’s decision to contest for all twenty municipal seats. Out of the twenty seats, eight candidates are given tickets in the first phase and later on other candidates will also be given tickets. When questioned about their plan for the panchayat poll, Tagung informed that the party will soon disclose their list for the same.
